Effect of Hydrodynamic Pressure on Saturated Sand Supporting Liquid Storage Tank During the Earthquake

This paper aims to illuminate the influence of hydrodynamic pressure generated in a water storage tank on behavior saturated sand that its support. Experimental tests were performed two cylindrical models using fabricated shaking table which consists flexible laminar shear box. The first model is partially full water, and second one with an equivalent load simulate without pressure. Three earthquake histories (Kobe, El-Centro, Ali Al Gharbi) implemented study varied range acceleration.
